TaskLie Ganav

For CA & accounting practices

Run the firm, not just the books.

Ganav turns a governed accounting engine into your firm’s operating system: see every client’s month-end on one board, chase answers from one inbox that emails from your mailbox — or replies on WhatsApp — let AI code the bills, read every statement in Tally’s format, and give each client a portal of their own — with a single Tally agent for the entire practice.

Ganav month-end board showing every client company's close in one view

The partner's problem

You’re accountable for every client’s close, but you can’t see any of them without logging in one client at a time. Juniors chase clients over email and personal WhatsApp; answers get lost on someone’s phone; SLAs slip. Every client runs a different Tally company you have to touch separately. The firm’s own compliance — articleship, payroll — lives in yet another tool.

Every client's close, generated and tracked from templates.

  • Monthly engagement cycles generated automatically from reusable templates, each with a stage lifecycle.
  • Clarification-gatinga stage can’t advance while a client query is still open, so nothing closes on a guess.
  • Cross-company Month-End Boardone cockpit where a partner sees every client’s close status, not one login at a time.
  • Automateda daily cycle-generator and overdue sweep keep the board current without anyone poking it.

Screens: Engagement Cycles, Cycle Detail, Month-End Board, Templates, Tiers, Config.

One inbox for "what's this expense?" — across every client.

  • Cross-company staff inbox — client-query tickets scoped to the exact engagement task they belong to, all in one place.
  • Emails from your own mailbox — per-user Office 365 / Gmail connections send queries from the staff member’s real address, not a no-reply. Templated for speed.
  • SLA, reminders & escalation — automated sweeps chase aging queries, escalate the stuck ones, and feed an SLA-insights view. A “magic reply” assist drafts responses.

Screens: Clarifications Inbox, Detail, Raise, Categories, Email Providers, Email Connection, Email Templates, SLA Insights, Magic Reply.

Bills in, replies out, published reports delivered — on the firm's WhatsApp Business number.

  • A client sends a bill on WhatsApp and it lands in that company’s Document Inbox, read and coded like any upload.
  • A per-company WhatsApp inbox for staff — assign, mark read, resolve, reply with quoted messages and attachments; every message sent once, through the outbox, and logged.
  • Send what’s publisheda report or statement already on the client’s portal goes to the client on WhatsApp in one click.
  • Approved templates for outbound starts; per-company opt-in; connection settings held by the firm’s platform administrator only.

Screens: WhatsApp Inbox, Inbound Queue, Message Log, WhatsApp Settings.(Runs on the WhatsApp Business API through Ganav’s messaging platform; per-conversation costs apply.)

Give clients a place to answer, and to see their numbers.

A constrained client login (dedicated CLIENT role, isolated identities) where a client’s contacts can view and reply to their own company’s queries, and see published documents, reports, statements, and engagement status. Everything they need; nothing they shouldn’t see. Client contacts carry a mobile number and a WhatsApp link, so the portal and the chat are the same person.

Screens: Portal Dashboard, Queries, Query Detail, Documents, Reports, Statements, Engagement, Publishing, Client Contacts.

Slack-style chat that speaks accounting.

Channels, DMs, threads, reactions, presence — plus the differentiator: a RecordCard that attaches a live, permission-checked journal, voucher, period-task, or report right into the conversation, with a status chip and a deep-link. Discuss the actual entry, not a screenshot of it. Company-scoped or firm-wide.

5. One Tally agent for the whole firm

Every client runs their own Tally — but you install one agent for the practice, and it discovers every Tally company on the machine, across more than one Tally instance. The firm-level Tally Connections dashboard maps each client’s Tally company to its Ganav company, with per-client sync toggles, live job status, and a fleet view that scales to a real firm. Cutovers are reconciled before they post — Tally’s figure beside Ganav’s, every difference named — and pulls run unattended on the client’s machine. (See Migration & Integrations.)

5b. Reports in the format your reviewers read

Every client’s Trial Balance, P&L and Balance Sheet render in Tally’s T-format — the real group tree from the client’s Tally, two-sided, colour-banded like the CA team’s own Excel — or in the standard classified format, with one toggle. The Trial Balance expands any control account into its sub-ledgers (parties, banks) with opening and closing side by side; every Excel export mirrors the screen.

5c. Smart Memory across your clients

The same vendors appear across many client companies. With Smart Memory reuse on — and only where both companies opt in and the acting user has access to both — a vendor’s identity and tax rate learned in one client’s books is suggested in another’s. Suggestion-only, never straight-through, never account codes or bank lines: a fail-closed share catalog decides what may cross.

5d. For audit practices — Ganav Audit

A separate application for the firm’s statutory-audit work: acceptance and Sec 144 independence, applicability, planning, signed data snapshots, self-computing reconciliations, confirmations, sampling, the SA 450 issue tracker, CARO 2020 and IFC workpapers, opinion and report issuance. It cannot read the bookkeeping database — client data enters only as a signed snapshot. Early access. (See Ganav Audit.)

6. The firm as an employer — articleship & payroll

Ganav also runs the firm’s own HR: articleship tracking with milestones for ICAI / ICSI / ICMAI, plus full Indian payroll for your staff. (See Payroll & HR.)
